It has been said that a democracy can only exist until the populace realizes that they can vote themselves the treasury:
Well... In the year of 2008, in the 11th month, the people did just that... They elected a new president. A president the likes of which this country has previously not conceaved. As stated in previous writings, this person received the vote of 95% of his racial class (Although he himself is only 50%). And even with this, he still only won by a small margin of a few percentage points.
A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine.
Thomas Jefferson
Many of his racial class voted for him based on his race as a primary factor - to see one of their own in the office for the first time in history. They voted for him even if they disagreed with what he stated. They voted for him despite evidence of lies and hypocracy. They voted for him despite questions as to whether he is legally qualified to run for the office.
This new president is walking into office at a time of economic chaos. A chaos which his party brought about through forcing easy credit to those who would normally not be able to get it. Home loans, credit cards, auto loans, and more... The banks were forced by legislation of the Democratic party to give where they previously would not have.
The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.
Thomas Jefferson
They gave to those who had unstable work histories, income too low, debt to income ratios that were out of wack.
Now the new president is coming in and has an economic plan to pull us out of the depression we are headed for. He is giving away several trillion dollars. Although some will come to the citizens, most is going to bailout large corporations. Many of the same companies that have created the problem are now being given more money. All while those who are honestly working to the best of their ability are losing their homes.
These people have lost their collective minds by definition and all who support these actions should be impeached as high treason to the well-being of this United States and it citizens whom they were elected to represent.
To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.
Thomas Jefferson
The failure of our economy was because of the easy money and easy credit. Now, to solve the problem, they want to stimulate the economy by creating more easy credit and easy money.
Their solution to the problem is to do the same thing that created the problem in the first place and expect different results.
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Albert Einstein
If they took the trillions they are planning on spending and divided it up among all legal American Citizens, we could pay off ALL of our personal debt - including mortgages, credit cards, cars, etc.. There by freeing our income to engage in commerce without debt and in doing so stimulating the economy.
But this money, where is it coming from? It is coming from the Federal Reserve Bank, An international corporation whichis not under the ownership of the United States government. It comes as the largest loan to ever exist - at interest. A sum of money such as this does not even exist in print and is all on paper, created out of thin air. There is no value to back it up other than the faith of those who use it.
In our day, it requires faith to believe that your money has value. This money will have to be repayed to the bank or they will foreclose. The collateral for the loan? YOU! YOUR freedom, YOUR labor, YOUR children, YOUR land, YOUR homes, YOUR soldiers, YOUR companies.
It is important to remember that government interference always means either violent action or the threat of such action. The funds that a government spends for whatever purposes are levied by taxation. And taxes are paid because the taxpayers are afraid of offering resistance to the tax gatherers. They know that any disobedience or resistance is hopeless. As long as this is the state of affairs, the government is able to collect the money that it wants to spend. Government is in the last resort the employment of armed men… Those who are asking for more government interference are asking ultimately for more compulsion and less freedom.
Ludwig von Mise
In the review of the tax adjustments that are being presented, we find not the elite wealthy being taxed (For they always have shelters and loopholes), but the upper middle class. This is the group of people who most commonly start new competative companies. This will certainly more quickly divide the economic classes into two: the elite wealthy rulers, and the poor laborers.
The more one considers the matter, the clearer it becomes that redistribution is in effect far less a redistribution of free income from the richer to the poorer, as we imagined, than a redistribution of power from the individual to the State.
Bertrand de Jouvenel
We, in the interest of safety and comfort for the moment are selling out our children and their future.
To tax the community for the advantage of a class is not protection, it is plunder.
Benjamin Disraeli
We are being plundered for the redistribution of wealth under the threat and guise of an economic package to prevent an inevitiable depression.
When this plays out there will be nothing but destitute masses who will do anything for a morsel of bread. Those in the ruling class will have a willing army who will do anything asked to have food and housing for themselves or their families. This is not unlike the suicide bombers out of the terrorist groups whose families are richly rewarded for their efforts.
Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
Ronald Reagan
The economy grew during the Reagan administration, and as it moved the Democratic party taxed those who grew out of poverty. When it began to slow they regulated it and told the banks how to run their businesses. When that failed, they subsidized it, the US government now owns a sizable portion of CitiBank and several other institutions. It may own a large portion of the US auto manufacturers too before the end of this year.
I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on the objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents.
James Madison
Despite those who boo-hoo'ed Reagan's "Trickle-Down-Economics", he called the picture accurately and he has predicted the future well after his own death.
And if your up to it, read these famous quotes, as we are living them out:
I would say that we are well on our way to one of two things, the first and more likely is slavery. The other is revolution. I pray that what I am seeing is wrong..
All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.
That government is best which governs the least, because its people discipline themselves.
When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.
Thomas Jefferson
Property is the fruit of labor...property is desirable...is a positive good in the world. That some should be rich shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise. Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built.
Abraham Lincoln
We had a chance for revolution in this last election. Instead the American people under the guise of "Change" have simply voted themselves the treasury and with that, their own distruction.
I bid you welcome young serf to your new world order.
From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.
Karl Marx
Here is my principle: Taxes shall be levied according to ability to pay. That is the only American principle.
Franklin D. Roosevelt (Called by some the “Founder” of the modern Democrat party)
Society's needs come before the individual's needs.
Adolf Hitler
The way to crush the bourgeoisie is to grind them between the millstones of taxation and inflation.
Karl Marx
Democracy is a form of government that cannot long survive, for as soon as the people learn that they have a voice in the fiscal policies of the government, they will move to vote for themselves all the money in the treasury, and bankrupt the nation.
Karl Marx
1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5. Centralization of credit in the banks of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6. Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the state.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state; … gradual abolition of all the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the populace over the country...
10. Free education for all children in public schools...
Karl Marx- Rules of the Communist Manifesto
We can't expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism.
Nikita Khrushchev
The mounting burden of taxation not only undermines individual incentives to increased work and earnings, but in a score of ways discourages capital accumulation and distorts, unbalances, and shrinks production. Total real wealth and income is made smaller than it would otherwise be. On net balance there is more poverty rather than less.
Henry Hazlitt
When a self-governing people confer upon their government the power to take from some and give to others, the process will not stop until the last bone of the last taxpayer is picked bare.
Kershner's First Law
To lay with one hand the power of government on the property of the citizen, and with the other to bestow it on favored individuals... is none the less robbery because it is... called taxation.
United States Supreme Court
When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.
Benjamin Franklin
A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been about 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: '>From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.
Alexander Fraser Tytler (1747–1813)
