I was watching the eldest son (in his early very early 20's) of friends of myself and my husband playing with his youngest baby brother who is about 2 years old. The little one was giggling up a storm while his eldest brother lifted him up and down and tossed him in the air (not too high though). Even lifting him over his shoulder to dangle over his back and then lifting him back up. More giggles. Trying to get the baby to walk up his legs - again giggles. Giggles and more giggles. The idea popped into my mind of doing exercises that would utilize your baby/toddler rather than using weights. Obviously the exercises would not be exactly the same as those done with weights. I think it would be a great opportunity for dad's (and mom's) to bond with their baby while staying in shape.
Unfortunately I know absolutely nothing about proper exercise technique much less how you would do so with a baby nor do I know much about running a gym. And of course they money to open such a place is, well, non-existent.
Still I have to wonder -- How many people would use such a place if it was available. I know that there are some "mommy & me" and probably even "daddy & me" type gyms (or atleast classes), but they don't seem to be overly abundant.
Would love to hear everyone's opinions of such an idea - mainly for curiosity sake.
