Moving to the farm - a 1-2 year project

We are embarking on an extra-ordinary plan to move to the country. This plan will involve the creation of a 3-6ac lake. We will need to build 4-5 1-2Br cabins (Two of which must be handicap accessible), a 4Br main house, multiple wells, water storage, a large barn, a chicken house, Emu pens, and a fenced area for sheep and goats. We are going to attempt to make this with the most energy efficient technology that we can afford. This will include: Solar power, wind power, Hydrogen gas conversion, and the possible use of Perendev technology which we are experimenting with. The goal is to produce a small farm that can support 5-6 families with no connection to normal utility resources. The site already has one aerobic septic system - which will need some repair. The 13,85ac is already purchased, but capital for the new projects needs to be acquired. Also we would like to purchase the neighboring 14ac to expand the lake to a more viable 8-10ac and stocking with fish to a stable bio-environment. We will be happy to provide reports, tours, and more to significant contributors on an ongoing basis. We are investigating the possibility of using the site for future Succoth celebrations within the United States to help lower the camping costs associated with those events. Please assist us in the move to the country and the research into alternative energy for a small community.

I will edit this page periodically for more information regarding the project and its status as we work through it.

Perendev has responded to our inquiry.  It appears that they have had some negotiating issues with the US rep.  They are unable to work with us on this project at this time.

However, we have reviewed their technology and others along the same lines.  Although these devices are not over-unity devices, they give that appearance and therefore may not be patentable in the US by US patent office policy.  We are going to continue to research and experiment with this technology for personal application.   We will post the results of the tests as we progress.  This will involve the purchase of specific machining equipment and raw materials.  We are currently working on basic drawings for parts that will be sent to several machine shops so that none of them have all the parts or designs - infact, they won't even know what their building parts for.

Some may question as to why we would want to build a place in the country that would have that much housing.  One might ask the inverse question of, "why would anyone want to live in the city where there is so much housing?".  The fact of the matter is that my parents are getting older and ready to retire.  My wife's parents are not well and could use a nearby caretaker.  We have an adopted set of parents, one of whom recently had a stroke, that helped us for many years that we would like to help.  I have one family whom lives with me whose father is disabled and in a wheelchail - they need alot of assistance.  My oldest child, out of seven that I have had with my wife, is now 20 and really needs his own place, but also needs to be in college.  Plus my own housing for myself, my wife, and the other 6 children.

Hence the reason for so much housing.  It is not out of greed, or to establish some weird religious sect., but out of familial need.

To date there have been no donations towards this project.  I am not suprised, and I am ok with it.  The economy is tough out there and there is little excess income for anyone.  Trust me, I provide support for about 17 people an it is tough.  I don't want anyone at any time to donate, give or invest in any project that I am working on in a way that would cause them personal financial harm.  If you thought about donating some money, even $5, and it would take away from your food budget - then DON'T do it.  Worst case situation for me is that it will take me longer to reach the goals I am setting forth and longer to build the prototype devices as proof of concept for the whole project.

But there is one thing you can do, it will cost you nothing.  Pray for our success as the lives of over twenty people depend on it.

Well, so far, there has been no donations to help support the farm project.  We are looking at some other options as a result.

One option is to sell the land and use any proceeds towards by land with more naturally sustainable characteristics in another state.  This of course will lead to me seeking other employment- shudder....

So far that is the best plan... The others aren't worth mentioning.  Despite the economic down-turn, our land i the country is worth more than when we bought it.  Enough more that if we were to sell it. we may be able to by a 27acre plot with a river on, foresting, easy well access and also in a place with no building code restrictions and low taxes.

Oddly enough, I looked for work in that area online the other day...  I found work that pays better than I make today and the cost of living would plummet.  A net increase all the way across the board for that .

Still we would have one problem that would be the same: no house

My cousin has been staying with us for some time now.  GOod guy, but you know what they say about too much time in your bother's house.  My wife and I have decided that where ever it is that we move next, we must have two homes as the stress of two heads of family in one is two much.

So the farm quest continues.  We are still seeking funds from all sources possible.

I got my first shipment of rare-earth magnets the other day to start prototyping with... Wow, these things are strong.  Almost lost a finger when I set one on the table 8 inches from the others.  Also they are brittle... I have already broken several due to them hitting each other.  Good thing I bought extras.
